The Center for the Study of Democratic Performance (CSDP), affiliated with the Department of Political Science at Florida State University, is proud to host its inaugural mini-conference on Citizen Preferences, Political Institutions, and Democratic Performance. The Center for the Study of Democratic Performance promotes research on how democratic institutions and processes affect such things as voting, representation, and policy making in order to assess the extent to which the practice of democracy conforms to democratic ideals.
The conference will take place on Friday, February 27th, at the DeVoe Moore Conference Room at Florida State University. It will feature presentations by Chris Anderson (Cornell University), Michael McDonald (SUNY Binghamton), G. Bingham Powell, Jr. (University of Rochester), and Paul Warwick (Simon Fraser University). In addition, members of the FSU Department of Political Science faculty and graduate students will participate (see program for more details).
