Requirements
The Department requires a minimum combined quantitative and verbal GRE
of 1100 with no less than 500 on either section and an overall GPA of
3.0 during the last two years of coursework. However, meeting the minimum
requirements for GRE and GPA is not a guarantee of admission or funding.
We review many applications each year and rank them according to a range
of factors, including letters of recommendation, personal statements,
research interests and career goals. We purposefully limit the number
of students we accept to ensure that each student gets the personal
attention they deserve in a high quality Ph.D. program.
